Van Nuys vehicles are better ... FPY-audits showed we didn't miss as many welds during panel assembly as those Fisher guys :p

While available, I don't think any Yenko was ordered with the chambered exhaust. The first 50 were ordered in December, and they were X66. Chambered was removed as standard b/b exhaust prior to that.

Remember, in 69, Yenkos were just double COPOs. (9561 iron block 427/425, and 9737- Sports car package 13/16" sway bar, 15" wheels, 140MPH speedo) About all he did was slap on some badges, and stripes, and sell them as his own creation. Wasn't long before word was out on COPOs, and other dealers started ordering them.

Colors-Just 6 Fathom Green, Rally Green, Frost Green, Daytona Yellow, Hugger Orange, and Olympic Gold.

I'm tired.
Frost green was not a 69 Yenko Camaro color swap that for Le Mans Blue

In most of the AT cars Yenko installed the Hurst Dual Gate floor conversion shifter

I think the Torq Thrust O is the most accurate. I had Torq Thrust D's and switched to O's when they became available. (Different shape on the spokes) I got reproduction center decals from Brian Henderson, Super Car Workshop. He hangs out at Yenkos.net. The correct ones are white, not silver, like you can get from resto houses.

looking at the russo and steele pics

the Chevy bowtie on the grill was normally removed during the Yenko conversion

it looks like they used wrong exhaust manifolds as it should have complete A.I.R pump system

The Yenko 427 decal they put on the valve cover should be on the radiator shroud where they put that Ford caution sticker

It should have deep groove pulleys , I can't tell if it has them in that pic

If the bow tie was removed, what was in its place? The valve cover decal has been removed along with the Ford caution sticker on the radiator shroud. Someone must have told the seller to do that. When I talked to him, he didn't seem like he knew too much.

I hope to have it in a week or so. I will get it looking right.

Nothing went in the place of the bow tie in the front. In the rear, the bowtie was removed, and they used one hole for the Yenko Badge, and the other for the 427 badge. That way they didn't have to deal with the holes, and they just had to drill 2 extra.

I have a set of Vintage Wheel Works V45s Several of the guys here have them.
Shot peened surface not painted like the Torq thrust. Easy care and look real old school.
They have good size combos. Check out my Camaro in my Signature.
