Hey Don! Was wondering where you went. :D

How's things? a LOT has happened here too. The "friend" that I brought by years ago (Virginia) is now my wife. We have been married 2 years now. We opened "Classic Car Blasting" in Hampstead in January 2013 (see my signature footer below) and things have been going really well.

I actually was contacted by an old friend with a '68 Camaro just 2 days ago, offering to sell me his car at a "you can't pass this up price," so I am actually putting my '73 project up for sale.

I think Dan and Scott may be stopping by our shop this Saturday (my car is there as well). Want to swing by?

Here's the '68 (driver quality) I will be acquiring:

So how did you bam booze Virginia into marrying you….you definitely married up:D

Love to stop by and check out your and Virginias shop! Let me know when Dan and Scott are thinking about stopping by and i'll see if it fits in with my schedule. My daughter is in a basketball tournament this weekend and i think its up by your way? Love the 1st gen cars…that 68 looks pretty solid:thumbsup: I got my 69 all together and then decided to throw a LS engine in it…..SO, i built a garage off to the side of my house…threw in a lift and that has been my project the past few months. My wife and kids think i'm crazy…but hey, how am i going to pass these cold winter months?

Hey Phil, Sounds like you made your decision, I take it you got over to take another look at her and she checked out. Sure looks to be a very nice driver quality 68

I hope whomever buys your 73 project is fairly local and/or at least keeps the TC community updated with the project as that car comes together, I'd hate to not be able to see the end result as you did top notch work getting her to where she is.

Looking forward to Saturday morning, see you then, Scott

Donuts???? Who is bring the donuts? I usually can eat 3-4, so just pick up dozen. :p

Don - Alcohol was involved. Now that it has warn off of her, I may be in trouble! :D

You guys aren't going to believe it. The '73 just sold. A customer of ours that has been through our shop and has seen the car (he owns a local resto shop) saw it on Craigs and gave me a "wtf" call this AM. He is bringing me a deposit on Monday!

So who knows, maybe I will have a '68 by next weekend! :hurray: I will miss the '73 though...and if it goes to the local resto shop, they will finish it much faster than I could have.

Scott - It's not nearly as nice as your car but is a good solid platform and something I can drive now. We climbed all over it and under it. It will be hugger orange some day as I haven't given up on that dream yet. ;)

Dan - we have 2 dollies, a high and a low. You can take either and they will fit in your truck.

Wow you don't mess around, Phil!
A 73 with big block and webers is a rare bird but maybe with this 68 you will be on the road with us all that much sooner! :beers:

My daughter has a basketball game in Manchester at 8 am, so if you are thinking around 10am for a meeting time…that will work great. Love to see your shop! And maybe my BFF will be there:hurray: I pm'd melrose to see if he had time to join us?

Sounds good Don, I am planning on being here from 9-1:00, I think Dan is here at around 10:30, and Scott is planning around 9:00.

Melrose is more than welcome, the more the merrier!

I will have a few customer drop-offs and pick ups, but no biggie.

Phil

If your going to be there until 1:00, I may have time to go home and then come back loaded up. ;)
Dan…do you need help at your place? I won't be to far away from were my daughters game is.

I believe Don mentioned donuts first so... ;)

Phil, just like the donuts, alcohol is available from many local sources if you find you need to re-stock :beers:

Wow, that was fast, congratulations on a very fast sale. Even better that it is a local enthusiast that is purchasing it. Perhaps one day it will be at one of your "Cars & Coffee" events?

Phil, my car has been and still is a work in progress just like yours will be and I've done a lot to it since I purchased it. But just like yours, I've been able to drive it and enjoy it since I purchased it and saved the bigger and longer down-time projects for winter seasons so as not to interrupt the ability to drive and enjoy. Very happy for you Phil, I can't wait to do some cruising together this season!

See you Saturday morning, Scott
