I found a set of torque thrust 2's for sale and need to know if 17X8 with 4" of backspacing is enough for the front of a 69 camaro. Anyone running similiar size?

I am running a 18X8 with 4.75 bs 235/40-18

Fits perfect and car is low....

Jody...I'M TRYING!!!!!!! LOL

Actually, it is much farther along than that picture, the grill and headlight assemblies are in, all of the sound deadener is in (85 sq ft. in a convert!!)I am currrently getting the MSD ignition and coil mounted under the dash, I have '03 Viper seats coming for it (orange houndstooth of course)and the calipers should be back this week from getting "color" (done orange w/ white Baer logo)...I see the light at the end of the tunnel. My buddy Scott (69ProTouring) will probably help me get some more recent pics posted...Got 4" of snow today...Yuck!

Thanks for the nice words JB

Hey CrossRamZ11, Incredible car so far! You are using Centerline Lazers? I cannot find them anywhere. I am also restoring a 69 convertible and want to stuff as much rubber under it as I can but the selection of 17" rims with proper back spacing is not too good. At least everytime I find a nice looking rim they don't offer it for mine.

pwoolford,

Here is to the rim of the Centerline site:
