NCRS Shippers Reports Available May 1 2014?

Okay folks,

As the information is on its way to lucky Camaro owners, how do you decode the codes and zone in the letter?

As far as I'm aware, the letter lists the zone and number, and also states the dealer name and address, so you don't need to look it up yourself. However, NCRS urges everyone who gets a letter to update the database, to keep it as accurate as possible.

Has anybody received their letters yet? I know that it said about 30 days, but I was just curious. I have #'s 126 and 133.

I also have a NOR car that falls within the range of missing data, but I yet to receive any notification that a refund is coming. Maybe I will get lucky.....:yes:

See some of the posts above regarding confirmation of mailing. Seems like many have been mailed out already. I thought mine might have been in my mailbox today but likely tomorrow I guess.

Just got my email, order #168 has been mailed. Saturday would be nice but based on how late in the day it is I'm guessing Tuesday.

I got my letter today too. GM production date is 2/10/67 which compares to 2A date on the trim tag. I'm curious why it's a little off but suspect that the trim tag and production dates don't perfectly align.

The Dealer is Smith Motor Sales in San Antonio, TX. What's amazing about this is that my brother bought it as a used car in 1982 from the same dealership! It appears it lived its first 15 years in San Antonio and made it back to where it came from. Does anybody out there know if they still exist? From what I've found on the web in the past, they may now be called Freedom Chevrolet at 13483 W INTERSTATE 10 (moved from their previous spot back in 1982 at 1221 Broadway. Slim chance of documentation existing but it's as good as I could have hoped for. Another great coincidence is that my brother may be moving back there this year so I could have some "boots on the ground" to go over there and schmooze with somebody that may have access to old documents.

For me and the fun of tracking down the history of this car, the $50 was well worth it. I hope some of you guys with special cars that need info more than I do get as much as I did.:yes:

Now what the heck am I supposed to do with that!

I bought the car in north NJ in 82 and it had a Seton Hall University sticker on the window. This car really traveled! LA to Hawaii to NJ!!!

I have a family member in management at Freedom Chevrolet. I will ask if they have old documents.
