I've been fixing up my interior and my seatbacks are yellow and have cracks where they screw to the seat and would like to just get new ones. I also have one headrest that is cracked and would like to replace it BUT NO ONE HAS YELLOW for sale. Do I assume that I have to buy black or white ones and paint them? Anyone have experience with finding yellow interior pieces? I cannot even find the 'color code' for yellow interior. Is it simply the same as the exterior (which is Daytona yellow)?

Most spray cans have a coverage listed on them in sq ft. But that only helps so much, i would imagine you could get through it on 1 can.

I would say plan on at least one can per item if you intend to do four or five light coat layers with no primer. Better safe then sorry IMHO. I used a spray dye many years ago and wasn't satisfied with the texture of the final coat, and worse I found within batches the color varied can to can. We finally got it done by using two cans and making sure the top layer came from the same can. I would hope the technology has progressed. Someone posted a while back on the Krylon Fusion paint line for plastics for interior plastic. "Sunbeam" looks close to Daytona Yellow.

do you think the krylon would be any better or worse than the $29 stuff from classic industries?
If you want the correct color go with the classic industries stuff. Also very important to wash the panels very thoroughly with Dawn soap and a brush. Then you must apply the special plastic adesion promoter (plastic primer) before spraying your yellow.
