So I have a 67 camaro that I believe has the deluxe interior since it has the chrome headliner molding. I always thought that it came with black pillar moldings but after looking at the ones that came with the car it looks like someone painted them black. So my question is should I use black ones or chrome ones? I guess the chrome ones are correct but which ones look better?

If someone can post a picture of their interior with the headliner moldings and the pillar molding it would be much appreciated!

Also do the pillar moldings go under the dash pad or over?

Over the dash pad.

For 67, the chrome headliner & pillar moldings were part of the Z23 Special interior package. They were not included with Z87, Deluxe. I'd go with what's correct in this case. Your cowl tag should have a 3S code for special interior.

Yeah, bring on some pics, please.

I don't have a delux interior but a previous owner installed chrome pillar moulding and I find them hideous. He also installed a chrome... whatever that body piece is where the wipers come out of. I find them both too blingy and would have the pillar moulding replaced by now if they weren't (IMHO) so expensive. But that's just my taste. I say go with the look you like. It can always be changed later.

Could you post a picture of what they look like?

The lights in my garage are disconnected for drywall finishing so the light is pretty poor, the pic below is the best I can do tonight. I'll try tomorrow in the daylight if I can (driving to the Bay Area as my dad had knee replacement surgery).

I really like the chrome moldings I just put in and they fit very nicely. I just put in my headliner (TMI) and i think it all looks great. I'll try to get some good pics.

Mine are the OER brand. I think I should note about fitment. I have an original dash pad. I think they are thinner at the dash where the pillar moldings go over the dash pad area. I also have original trim/welting at the top at the headliner. I know mine is not as bulky as the aftermarket. Mine fit very well and no trimming at all was needed.

I ordered from Summit which had good pricing and free shipping after you reach $100.00 and I recieved parts in 2 days in Arizona. Summit will also match prices but I found they are consistent with good prices which were better than most Camaro places already but shop around if you have time.

Sorry pictures are sorta crappy. I need to try again.

So I went ahead and picked up a pair of moldings this Saturday from classic industries. They are OER and the fit really sucked and I had to do some shaving to make them fit a bit better. My dash pad is not the original and I did replace my entire dash since the original one was all cut up. So maybe that's why the fit wasn't great. Here are some pictures. Thanks everyone for the help

Oh an yes I need some door panels so if anyone knows of a set let me know!

Did you have to trim where your chrome moldings meet them? Those look thicker to me than the normal welting?

I don't see them having separate molds for these, you would think they are all molded black and then chromed but you never know. Mine fit really good which surprised the heck out me actually because most aftermarket parts suck.
