waht may be the cause of my 69 camaro z/28 'surging' when throttles hitting the secondaries? I have adjusted the ignition timing; the engine surges/hesitates and occassionally backfires.

It sounds like the secondaries are opening too fast. Do you have the proper Z/28 780 carb?
