Not sure what you mean about the VIN, unless you mean a partial on the engine pad? The VIN is shown is several different pictures and the listing text, and the partial may be down by the oil filter.
Can't comment on PoP, looks like a photo of a photo....
Would be interested to see Jerry's comments on the appraisal, can see a few minor issues but if the docs are genuine, the car looks pretty well done.
The jack assembly looks to be correct for an LA built car, although the load rest hook is not right for the VE3 bumper actually on the car. Plus it may be the angle of the photos, but it looks like the driver's seat has a straight headrest bar and the passenger's side is a curved bar. All minor details.
Really like the parchment v-top!

Unfortunately its a restored car and was inspected 15 years ago, it likely needs about 20k worth of restoring again to have it equal to when Jerry certified it as far as condition. Every year on a restored car its going backwards (viscious circle).......lol

20k of re-restoring? Really. I sold a car that was restored 18 years ago and had 200 miles on it as it was a L78 loaded vert trailer queen. Won top awards at Super Chevy Memphis 10 years apart then sold. A proper restoration and upkeep and storage should keep the car in excellent condition.

I mean by "masking the VIN" that seller has wrote "Z" in place of "2". This cannot be a "mistake".
I can't believe that was contrived or intentional...more like an honest mistake. The VIN is clearly displayed on the dash tag photo, so why go to the bother of typing in a Z rather than 2 in the ad. It doesn't make sense and I think you're reading more into this than is really there. Too much at stake based on the authenticity if the JM certs are genuine. JMHO

While 20k may be extreme, there is a lot of work that needs to be done nonetheless if you were to ever show it and have it judged by the gods at ACA in the Bow Tie and Legends Arena. I found out the hard way even my car scored 992 out of 1000 at MCACN in 2009 does not transcend to Camaro Nationals judging which is much stricter and thorough. Most of my point deductions were due to age of restoration. A guy next to me commented that if he took his Legends accepted car out for a Sunday drive (which was perfection) he'd have 10-15k damage to the 100k he spent restoring it. His car is on another planet though from mine

Back on track, this car is getting bid to the high end of something that is now a great driver quality car. I needs to be re certified to see if anything has changed as far as parts since its certification 15 years ago. It makes sense for the buyer or anyone interested in the car

Do some searches on the actual VIN if you have concerns... I also noticed the use of the 'Z' in place of the '2', in at least two places in the ad... I wonder what character shows up on the title??
