In the market for a very reasonably priced set of ceramic coated headers for my 69 350 4 speed car. No A/C but has P/S.

I see several but they won't fit 4 speed cars. Just wondering what you guys are running. I would consider the tri y design as well. Just don't want the shorty kind. Brand, part #, and vendor, please, if you still have that info. Thanks

I have Dyna Tech 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 stepped headers on mine, Fit great look great for 6 years now, but they are not what you would say reasonable.

I had Hooker Super Comps with 1 3/4'' primaries in my 69 4 speed car and they cleared the power steering and the reverse lockout linkage as well.

Thanks ...I don't currently have the lockout hooked up but would like to reinstall it so that my backup lights will work. I would still like something more in the $300 range is that's possible.

$300 headers are not a problem, it's the coatings that drive up the cost. I recently purchased a set of Hooker Competition headers for my big block and paid $150 for them brand new. I then had them Jet Hot coated for $345. The coating cost more than twice the price of the headers.

Check out Patriot headers, ceramic coat...Bought a set 3 or 4 years ago. They are made by the same folks that make Doug's headers, but cost considerably less...

Also, the return spring for the clutch pedal routs between the tubes, so yo can actually connect the spring and rod to the factory location on the Frame mount for the motor...

Really nice quality and PERFECT fitment--also PLENTY of clearance if you have or awnt to upgrade to power steering...

I really dont know why these don't get more attention...

I'm running generic cheapie headers on my '68. They fit the 4 speed just fine. Not sure what brand they are, since there was no brand or part number on them. I got em off craigslist for $40

I noticed the summit brand headers does not say they won't fit 4 speed? I think most headers fit 4 speed. On my headers, the clutch linkage is a little tight, but it still fits

I bought the Flowtech headers from Summit. $332.95 I run a 496 stroker.
Ive got a pair of flowtechs on the shelf...they didn't fit, so I went with Patriot, which were perfect...

The passenger side flowtech pipe hit the firewall....not sure if I just got abad set or what, but did not work for me...
