No , these vehicles were ones that were already assembled , but were not pre-ordered from a dealer or like in my case ,the engineer could order any vehicle he wanted. I have an ALL ORIGINAL 1967 Camaro r/s convertible 4speed loaded with options , that the original owner was a GM employee and that my Camaro was one of these test vehicle. I'm just trying to find out more about these vehicle and does this add value to my vehicle? 250-558-7963 please call if you anything about these vehicle.

I know of 49 pilot cars. it's not one of them. My Camaro was order later nov 1966 by a assembly test engineer , with help from the GM accountant that purchased the vehicle after it was completely hand dismantled and then hand re assembled, checking every nut and bolt, as per the original owner who is still with us. From what the accountants can remember is that there were less 10 of these vehicles.

IMHO if you are trying to sell the car then you should put a price on it.

Simply asking "Best Offer" will not generate a serious buyer.

2nd if the car is what you say it is you must have hard verifiable documentation.

Yes I believe your correct. The add you are looking at is old. I was wanted to delete it but I'm having not great time with this web site. All this information about the car being a test vehicle was found after that add was placed . late Jan I'm putting it in Hemmings. And yes I have just found the protect-o plate and I have the original shippers copy, plus the original owner is still with us.

Each test vehicle could be for many reasons, if the Camaro's were having a safety issue or a wearing problem or to improve the assembly time / problem. Now in my case my car was pre-order by one of the accountant that worked at the Norwood plant, with help from the engineer, who he befriended. Now the best part of this story is that the engineer had is workers completely hand dismantle this Camaro and re assembled by hand checking every nut and bolt. The engineer told the accountant that it would be the best car to come out of the plant this week.

You should be able to reply and go the "manage attachments" button and upload files. But there is a size limitation so you might need to check the files first.
