Tonight I went back to look at a 68 SS/RS for sale. The body has been done from the frame up. All new paint which is original butternut yellow with black stripe. This is a 396-325hp air equipped car with disc brakes and all new 12 bolt rear with 4.10 gearing. All original or new parts go with car, but it doesn't have a correct 396 motor.
The car needs to be put back together including motor. Body panels have all been painted and hung correctly and rolls around.

I realize this will take some money to finish and will require alot of time to get it back together. I've done this before with my 70 chevelle.

Is this car worth 9500$ ??

I have another 327-68 camaro for a future project but I go crazy thinking about how good this car will be after completion.
The SS/RS has like a 3000 paint job. No corners cut here, I mean it's flawless.

I can sell my 70 right now as this guy keeps trying to take it off my hands everytime I run into him. This would finance the camaro. I'm just torn between making the decision to get it and letting go my first completed cherished project.

You think it's worth the money??

Thanx RandyB..

If its a real RS/SS and originally a big block car, it sounds like a good deal to me. They are pretty rare and it will be worth a lot more than $8500 when its done IMO.

Buyt it and keep the chevelle. We are all pack rats at heart.
