Vegas 2016 by Doug G | Photobucket

Just back in MD 7am this morning....

Took my Wife, my Daughter, and a friend of my Daughters (since like 3rd grade) to Vegas for my Daughters 16th B-day.
Had a great time, got to see the fountains this time as well as the Fremont Street Experience (light show and the "other sights" as well, not for the "conservatives") Daughter and friend did the roller coaster at NYNY and :noway: NO WAY was I getting on :noway:

Learned a few things as well....like the bus ;) GREAT way to get around. Wife's Fitbit said we walked 10 miles  I sure feel it !

All in all....GREAT time. I only wish I could have stayed until Saturday and made Cars and Coffee :crying:
Weather was 75-80 during the days and upper 50's to low 60's at nite....PERFECT !

If you never been, put it on your bucket list.

Bellagio Fountains
Fremont Street Experience
Mirage Volcano
And all the street performers everywhere (be ready to hounded for a dollar if you want to get a picture or watch the show which some are worth)

$8 bus ticket...
Ride for 24hrs as much as you want/need.
Goes up and down the strip.
Bus every 20mins or so.
Things are not as close as they look ;)

Taxi's are $7 as soon as they start the meter
Don't believe anyone who says food is cheap (that changed years ago...like 10+) Average meal for 4 was $100 w/o extras (cheap)
$42 bus (open top double decker) only runs at certain times and routes/stops.
Pre-pay for everything you can before going (air fare both ways, ride from airport to hotel and back, any sight seeing trips, ETC...you'll save money and know you have a way in/out if you lose your "butt" at the tables/slots ;)

If I ever go there I want a ride in John's car...

Yes, you're right....and I think I could have maybe sortta talked him into IF I was there Saturday :frown2:

Butttttt, damn my luck :crying:

Sounds like ya had a good time...cool

Glad to hear you had fun Doug!
It's an interesting place for sure, I'm not into gambling but there is still lots to do. Last 3-4 times I've been there I spent 90% of my time about 30 minutes out of town, at the strip (not the strip club, as far as anyone knows....:wink2: ).

If you ever come back make it in November when the street car supernationals is in town, best race in the US, nothing like you've ever seen!

Yes, lots to do besides gambling....just people watching was interesting
Would like to go again as I wanted to do the racecar track thing but time and $$$ wasn't on my side this time as well as being my Daughters B-day (her time)... 2 things on the list by me was the fountains and the Fremont St. Exp. (must see's  )

Hope to have a better plan next time....but HATE schedules

Just so much to do/see....not only about gambling.

And today in MD I get to enjoy a rain snow mix....^#$$#
78* and Sunny. Went to cars and coffee. Dropped my buddy's 69 off at the paint shop, picked up the rear seat for on other 69 from the upholstery shop, stopped by another friends house who was working on his LSX swap.

Just another day in ......>:)
