So what do you think would win? Now becaus the camaro cost about $3,000 more than the mustang do you think the mustang would win if you put $3,000 in mods? And which would you choose?

You can find a 2010 SS pretty cheap now at least around here. I have a 2010 SS but its far from stock. Both great cars.the new gt350 is sweet but I'd hold off til we see 2016 1le and zl1 track times. I don't think the mustang stands a chance.
My wife is tiny too, but my 6 and 8 year old couldn't fit at all, couldn't get there feet down. SucksI went and looked at a 2016 and the back seat is a joke. Luckily for me my wife is 5'0" and I have a 4 year old girl so if I go that route we should all fit.
IMO the 2010-2013 is the best looking. I bought a 2010 SS back a couple of months ago with only 14k miles for $21k. If you look nationally you can find many good deals on just about any SS color with whatever options you want. The SS had the same horse power rating for the 10-15 model year. I have the 6 speed with the LS3 with a factory 426HP, no mods.
(the 6 speed manual was the only way you could could get a LS3, the automatic cars got the variant L99 rated at 400HP)
If you don't have a issue with visibility, I think the car is a lot of fun, and runs great. I am not as big of a fan of the 4.6L Mustang. (I do like the looks of the 2005 though.)
I would also agree the 2016 Shelby GT-350R is the way I would go, High revs, smaller displacement, light body, what a awesome combination. Like the original Boss 302 and Z/28.
I was at the Chevrolet dealer yesterday and looked at the 6th Gen Camaro. If you like the evolutionary design, and can afford the $37k entry price for an SS than that may suit you. It now has 455 HP standard on the 6 speed, and weighs almost 200 lbs less, with suspension improvements so it is going to be quicker than the 5th gen.
If you waited for the 6th gen ZL-1, or Z/28 to drop, and you had about 30-35k to spend you could look for a decent ZL-1 with a whopping 580 HP.
The 1LE is a great deal I wish the option existed when I ordered my car in 09.I dont know, im kinda a fan of the 2014-15. to me it makes the car look wider and lower. but i'm bias as the only 5th gen i would probably get is a 1le with recaro option(only availible in 14-15)
Interesting article. They used a Silver Camaro 1SS, but added the console gauges. At least you could get a manual in the Challenger by then.
