Hi Guys,

I am ready to pick up the exterior color for my 69 Camaro, and i have two colors in my mind (Lemans Blue and Powder Blue), and do not know which one to use. The car has white Hockey stripes, Hideaway headlights, rally wheels, white interior, white vinyl top, 2' cowl hood, and black color on the tail light for the BBC.

Attached a link to the Lemans Blue and a picture for the Powder Blue.

From those two choices I would choose Lemans Blue. Mine is Fathom Green

That pale blue is way too "washed out", imo, but everyone has their own taste in color. There's a light blue that Chevrolet used in the 60's, mostly on pick-ups I believe, that has much more color to it, GM code WE 5120, or PPG 12846.

Pretty tough to beat LM blue, though.;)

Lemans Blue is a great color. Do the color you want and don't worry about "too many"

I also really like the corvette colors like Jetstream Blue and Nassau Blue.

Jetstream is the color on the Protour car in my avatar

Between Lemans Blue and Powder Blue I'd pick Lemans Blue. GM also had a Fathom Blue, my favorite blue, during that period. Fred

Well I can tell you I have never seen a Powder Blue 69 at any car show I have ever been to. I have seen lots of Lemans Blue ones though. Powder Blue is nice but I'm not sure how it will look with a Black tailpan. (Not sure if you were planning that, Just read it had one now). Powder Blue with White top and interior will look nice. If thats what your leaning towards I say "go for it".

Of the two colors you have listed I would paint it Lemans Blue. My 67 Camaro original color was Marina Blue. 1967 - 1969 Camaro factory paint charts http://www.69pace.com/paint.htm The color that had the highest percentage painted in 1967 was Bolero Red 15% the next highest was Marina Blue 13.3%. As popular as Hugger Orange was in 1969 it was only 12.1%
