Hi Everyone,
Thought I'd introduce myself as new to Camaro ownership and will be active on this forum for years to come! I'm located in the UK and have import a 68 Camaro RSSS. It's a car I've always wanted to own and managed to persuade the previous owner (who I knew) to sell me the car as a restoration project after sitting in a barn for the past 25yrs. I have stripped the car back to bare metal and have had the shell chemically dipped, as would suspect there are a few rust holes in rear quarters, floor pans, windscreen channels but nothing too major. The car is now sat primered for protection with the long challenge ahead to restore.
I want to order the sheet metal (roof as they buckled during the stripping process, rear quarters, fender, doors, floor pans) and have used the search feature which brings up many results of recommended places to purchase but mainly from many years ago. I was wondering where people recommend to purchase these body panels that are best fitting/cost/as close to factory standard lines in this current market or are they all similar and come from the same manufacturing company?
Thanks and will be good to get to know you all, even from this side of the pond!
Dean
