Me being an active duty Army pilot, my wife being active duty also, she is in the 1st cavalry division and will be leaving in 3 weeks to Iraq, I will be leaving in 2 weeks to go learn to fly fixed wing recon aircraft, then probably to Iraq. We will be apart 1 1/2 years with my staggered arrival into Country.

This just really hits home.

Amen Sherr!!! My brother lives here in Washington and works as a firefighter....Shortly after 9/11 he flew back there to volunteer. He was changed for life from what he went through back there!!
That was a very riveting slideshow. Thanks for sharing it

Thats a wonderful site. Thankyou for sharing that. I don't have to tell you and yours to take care of yourselves over there, but I want to anyways. Take care over there. And come back safe.
And tell us some stories of what it was like when you're back safe and sound.

Sherr20, Thanks for posting that. I have had that saved in my favorites for some time now and view it from time to time. Kinda puts you back into perspective (sp??)
Good luck on your tour of duty and the same for your wife. My twin brother just arrived at LSA Anaconda, Iraq last week. He is a MSG with the 852 RAOC attached to an Airborn division. Luckily what his assignment entails is using a laptop PC so we can communicate very well via e-mail and sometimes AOL I/M
Good luck and be safe!!!!!
Salute and
