COPO at Super Chevy this weekend

There was a very cool copo at super chevy this weekend here at No Problem raceway in Belle Rose, LA. Advertised as the lowest mile copo to exist. 753 miles, as the owner says "1/4 mile at a time"! This car was still in it's racing suit from 69! The dealer invoice, with the 9561AA RPO code for $489.75 was on a baord in front of the car.

The cars were awesome! There were not to many vendors, and the car corral was small, but the crowd and the racers were huge! On Saturday night, there were running until 930pm at least. We rented a spot on the strip for my camper. We were about 100 yards (out) from the christmas tree. The boys (my brothers and mine, 3 and 6yrs) had a blast. At about 830pm on saturday, they announced that trials were over, but that several racers wanted to bet there cars were faster than others. These guys wind up on the line, betting cash! One race had $5,000.00 on the line! This went on till 930 or so. Supposedly No Problem is one of the best tracks to hook up in the south.
All in all, I wish there were more parts and cars at the car corral, but the racing was as good or better than Atlanta. Especially the "old school" feel of the track. There were very few rules, but only minor abuses. Hope it stays that way, and safety does not need to be addressed by rule after rule as some track have had to do.

It was really cool to see the car in full race ready dress. There are so many that are "overdone" IMHO. Personally, some 427 clones are nicer as you can feel free to drag em, again IMHO (please, no hate mail).

cool car thanks for posting the pictures
It has two COPO options listed. COPO 9561 for the "high performance unit" (427) and 9511 to get a 4:56 rear gear. Normally the COPO 9561 came with 4:10 gear.
