Well Im getting there....slowly...I was getting ready for body work and Now it seems that the frame may possibly be bent??? Im not sure but when putting the front bumper brackets on the holes where the bracket goes through are off on the drivers side.. approx 1 inch...
There is no evidence of damage though on the orignal panels (im about 99% sure there the orignals)... could the frame have been damaged/bent from hard driving alone???

As far as the panels go they seem to line up perfectly.. see pics... The radiator fit but looks slanted.. front to back not up and down.

Do I have the frame straightened or purchase another frame?

Is there any difference besides engine mounts that differ between the L78 frams and a standard V8 frame?

Hope this makes sense?

Thanks for the help Josh

The subframe is probably not centered on the body. Pretty easy fix. Just support the body and loosen the subframe bolts. Line up the alignment holes and retighten. It's good to cross measure to make sure it's centered.
69's seem to have this problem more than the others for some reason.

Joe...

How much error is there in the alignment holes? I think this might be the problem as the subframe its self does not seem damaged... The four body to subframe bolts and holes seem to line up good.. could there actually be one inch 'play' with the alignment?

Also being that the engine is in I would guess this is easier if the engine is removed?

Thanks Josh

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!!! Well it turns out the sub frame was NOT bent but needed adjustment??? I never would have thought that the subframe could be adjusted? Well I guess thats why theres TC!

Thanks

That is cool... Did you get a chance to look at the holes on the subframe? probably not... but there have been others than have had to repar the size of the holes because they had rusted.

I was able to leave the motor in (I guess it would have been easier to have taken it out)... I used a combination of two jacks... I only needed to move the frame a little less than an inch, but i guess after about 5 feet, the inch turned into almost 2"! It was a little tricky but everything aligned up perfectly... Took about an hour.
