327/350 engine weight

How much does a complete small block late 60's vintage engine weigh?
327/350 carb to pan with exhaust manifolds, minus flywheel.
I need to figure out a shipping weight for cost.

Looks like 540 lbs without manifolds...maybe 600 with?

I would use 575# and then I don't think I would be supprised if it may be a tad lower.

Better to estimate high then low, imho..

Thanks, I was thinking 500lbs, but I wasnt too sure as it has been a long time since I have had to deal with this. I'll figure 575 and if it is higher, I am sure the shipping company will let me know. Thanks guys!

I have shipped alot of engines. FedEx Freight by far has the best rates.
Just my $.02.

So did you just crate them and have them pick them up?? OR did you drop it off at their facility?
