I am almost ready to re-paint my car, after a few minor body repairs, and am trying to get the "right" color picked out. I have a Corvette Bronze 68 Coupe with black interior and was thinking about Air Force (Navy, if you must) blue with metallic silver race stripes. I have read that some colors do not "work" with these cars, and I am seeing if anyone has or seen this scheme. Does it look good? I am also trying to go with an Air Force theme. Yes, I am in the Air Force! All input is welcome...

Thanks,
Dave

Ill give you credit for wanting to stay Air Force Blue being retired AF myself but I would keep it the Corvette Bronze, since theres not many of that color around and in the long run when and if the time comes to sell the car happens, you will get more for it than a non correct color

I like the LL Dark Teal, personally. I'm not certain what you consider AF Blue though. There are some guys using the new Vette Electron Blue, but I'm thinking you want darker.

When you say an Air Force theme, I'm thinking that a GAU cannon and some Sidewinders on hardpoints would come in real handy...:)

For some reason I've been seeing a lot of blue cars with silver runway stripes lately. I'm kind of glad I stuck with more traditional white stripes. :D

...There aren't many of the Teal Blue cars around either. It's an awsome color to consider (especially since it's original to your car)

According to Kurt's site (Camaros.org) only 2.3% of the 68's had the L Teal Blue designation. You might want to consider the original paint. Its still gonna be blue and like Hawaiian said, if you decide to sell the car at some point, it would surely be a higher value to the buyer. jmo Kevin
