On my 85 IROC the rear wiper quit working. after getting a rebuilt motor I discovered that the shaft in the gearbox is locked up. It does not appear servicable. Are they still available from the dealer. I cant find after market. thanks.

My wife works for Pontiac, and the wipers motors are still avaiable... Want one? Dealer can get 'em, in about 48 hours. If your local dealer says 'nay', then go to another dealer. They ARE discontinued, but that means that they are not being made anymore. The warehouse is full of 'em, and can be shipped to the dealer in a flash. I am in Canada, and we can get them overnight, have done, can do, and will do if need be. You are closer to the source, so tell the dang dealer to just get you one, they can do it, they just don't want to. Frick, that makes me mad to hear that dealers are unwilling to lend a hand. >(
