I haven't done this, but I did read an article in one of the magazines a few years back where they were beating on this 80s 305 Camaro. They called the project Underdog Camaro and then changed the title to Project Silver Streak. Anyway, they did this modification with a cam and reworked stock heads and it was good for somewhere around 280 horses and 340 ft. lbs. torque.
