just wondered what happened to the ebay auction ?? I have never sold a car on ebay and was just curious ?? nice car BTW
First you get a million questions about every little thing.
You give your phone number to each email question asked, but no one ever calls??

Then the bidding goes up and up, even though you really want someone to come and look before they bid/buy. No one ever does?? But you keep getting more bids. Even the local guy bids, but doesn't come to see??

Then at the last minute, someone bids high enough to meet your reserve. They out-bid everyone else, all of whom are somehow willing to buy something without ever seeing it?? Then you get an email that the winner has changed his mind. :clonk:

Don't think I want to do that again.
Would rather have someone come and look, If they like it they buy it, if they don't like it, then they don't buy it.

I am just going to take it to the Barrett Jackson in Palm Beach next month.
It is a really nice car. I can't believe someone just doesn't grab it up. :beers:

I would put a lot more pictures and better quality pictures in the ad or auction. I sold my 68 Camaro with the 94 LT1/4L60E and 4 wheel disc brakes on Ebay to a guy in England. And yes, I got the money and he had a transport company get the car and deliver it to the docks to load onto a boat. He sent me some pictures after he did more work to it as well. That sucks that Ebay lets people bid something to the reserve like that and don't take some form of deposit from their Ebay account immediately. I hope you get another serious buyer Jeff.

Jeff, I cannot believe that someone will not buy that car for what you are asking. Put her on the auction block at Barrett and let the bidders go ape over it. I think you'll come out higher than your asking price...;)

I can't believe it either. I guess no one wants a powerglide.
Drove it to work today - really drives nice, not a race car though, it's a cruiser. :)

The heat works good too, we are having a cold spell - got into the 50's.

If it was 2 years ago (i hadnt bought my car yet) i would be booking a flight to Florida to come look at it with cash in hand. Beautiful car, well worth the asking price. I would have thought for that price it would have been gone very quickly. Do you think the fact that its white hurts it? Just thinking how a lot of people are when i comes to "muscle cars". Red, Blue, Black, Yellow etc..

Yes, maybe the white? It is really a pretty plain looking car.
Drum brakes, powerglide trans. really not many options
Even a black vinyl top would spice it up, but I really wanted to leave it exactly the way it was made originally.
The guy who bought it new, worked for the city of New York.
It is not a race car. He drove it to work.
It is not loud, or very fast, (high 15 seconds) just a casual cruiser.

A few of the people that have expressed interest, were going to cut up the car for either a big block, or a Z/28 clone. Really would hate to see that happen to this very well preserved original car.

It would really be a whole different car with a 4-speed.
