This camaro is a 67 SS 350 4 speed. I think it is originally blue or red "I can see the paint chipped away". It's been sitting like this for 18 years and i tryed to purchase it but the owner said no of course. "The motor isn't in it right know" as the owner said. Is there anything special that you can see from these pictures. I couldn't get any closer because of a fence. It is a SS though and it does have a special console with gauges. What about this pinstripe is this special if it's stock. Thanks for all the input.

Here are some pictures using photobucket. What would you pay for this car knowing nothing more than that the front window is broken in, the rear window has been open for who nows how long and it's a true SS 4 speed car. Original tranny but engine may be gone. Black interior, exterior may be red, blue, black. What would you say to the owner to try and convince them to sell the car?

It's hard to put a value on the car without knowing the condition of the floors, trunk, rockers, etc. Even a shell without drivetrain seems to be getting at least a few grand these days, seemingly without regard for condition. You could try showing up with a few grand in cash. That might get you through the fence to get a better look and check the numbers. Everything's for sale if the price is right.

If it's been there for 18 years, I'd say it's sinking into the ground at a rate of 1/2" per year.

How do you know its a real SS? As far as what to say to the guy to get him to sell it?...Money talks...that would be about it. But, bottom line...you cant make any good guesses on what its worth 30 feet away on the other side of the fence. If you truly have the cash, tell the guy you want to look at it and will make him a cash offer thats worth his time if it is what you think it is.

My advice is to let it go. If he's not interested in selling it, only an offer in excess of it's worth is going to get his attention. Give him your number and check back every year if you're really interested. There are lots of good Camaros around with owners that actually want to sell them.
