i'm trying to figure out what part i'm missing... i'm putting my 69 back together, and i'm attaching the windshield wiper nozzles... question is how do these guys bolt down? The manual just shows a screw holding them down, but on my car there is a 3/8 or so dia hole where the screw needs to go. Is there supposed to be some kind of clip or something that goes in the hole that the nozzle screws into? I can't find any pics, parts etc, other than the screw. thanks for any help,

The nozzels have an elbow with a threaded shank that is adjacent to the nozzle end, the elbow with the hose burrs go up thru the panel and some of the threads show too, then a nut screws down onto the nozzle threads from on top of the grille piece and pulls the nozzle flush to the grille area facing the headlights. Does that make sense? :) hope so, going by memory here. Its a very flat nut too and a chrome washer goes over the elbow first.

Ah, Jim, I think he is talking about the regular nozzles on the cowl, not the grill ones. :) The nozzles on the grill have a flat bar sticking out the side with a screw hole . The bar goes into the square hole and a small hex head screw holds them to the Vent panel (not cowl!). sorry

Ooops yep Kevin you are right. There is a tab that goes in the larger hole you see, and a very small tiny sheet metal screw with hex head that secures that metal tab in place. Should be 2 holes, one larger and one tiny. :) forget the previous for RS headlight washer nozzels :)

you guys are confusing me....
This had me going on my 68, too, cause I wanted to put the nozzles on before I put the cowl vent on!

The screws that hold the nozzles on thread into the vent panel, not the cowl itself. The square holes in the cowl are where the nozzle screwholes in the vent panel are when you drop the vent panel on.

I went out and looked at mine just now, I confused my self. The long nozzle sticks down thru the square hole and then turns up to aim thru the cowl vents. the small tab with the hex screw is on the horizontal lip below the cowl itself, not sure I made more sense but thats what I saw :)

My hood is covered now and not easy to get too. The squirter lays in the groove as mentioned and the little tab goes up thru the cowl panel and lays on top of the cowl where its secured with the tiny hex head screw.
I unwrapped my car and took this pic today, hope this helps.
