Off topic but... Is there a glue/adhesive that can be used to seal a crack on a plastic carburator float? One that can withstand gasoline? The new float, if it's still available for a 23 year old ricer, will take 2 or more weeks to get here and I'll like to use the car before that. Any suggestions.

Don't know, just wanted to make sure no disolved residues get to impossible to reach places, inside the carb.

I've been wondering about those, but, did any of you ever test them on a similar application?

They have epoxy gas tank patch kits at the auto stores. I would think that would patch a float BUT the weight will be off so the float will ride a little lower in the bowl. On a Holley, we would not have trouble with this because of the sight hole but on other carbs this can be an issue.
