Anyone Fabbed up a Block Off set for the Heater Box assembly?

Looking to see if anyone has fabbed up a set of Heater Box Block off plates for a '68 Camaro...

I just don't see paying $175 for 2 plates...

Maybe someone has started making these on the side ...

Any leads would be appreciated...

Tim, you can easily make a heater delete plate out of sheet metal. I did one awhile back on a Firebird and turned out nice. I can't see paying that much either on something you can fabricate yourself.

Tim, these guys,http://www.detroitspeed.com/FirewallFill10.html, were at a car show down here and I picked up one of their firewall plates for my 68. $65 isn't too bad. Hope this helps.
