Kevin thats funny.

My mother in law came over gave me $50 bucks for fathers day at the same time my buddy was picking me up to go to E-town. So I guess it was my gift too because I was already trying to borrow $$ from the wife.

Doug, it wasnt really a gift either :) The tickets and hospitality tent were a freebie from a vendor of mine. The gift was being able to go instead of other family obligations :D

The family had fun even though Erica enders did not qualify (my daughters fav), but we did get to watch her pull in from her last round, but we did not bother her cause she looked pissed that she did not make the show.

My sponsors car (wilkerson) made the show, but is back in 15th :( Gotta watch the same day tape and see the rest. :)

Happy Fathers day to all!! I told my wife I had "Fathers day immunity" last night. She simply gave me the look. Funny how they can say soooo much without even speaking :D Youngest niece is graduation high school today, so dinner at Olive Garden with the family...
Dano:beers:

My wife gave me a set of postage stamps with my car on them.
How cool is that eh?

So now when I send something by snail mail I can put a picture of my car on it as postage.

I also got to spend the day at race city speedway to watch the T/A funny cars, a couple of Jet cars, two AA funy cars, a couple of TA Dragsters & of course all the great local cars.

It was a lot of fun, although my son had to work today, & my wife has a very tough time with the noise levels.

Too bad Race City Speedway is going down hill. I'd be surprised if we actually have a track to race at next year. The Calgary Drag Racing Association has done a fabulous job of keeping drag racing alive & well here, but I don't think they can go it alone.

All in all though it was a damn fine Fathers Day, thanx to my wife & son.

Paul :beers:

Happy Father's Day to all

This year was a difficult one because my wife is in the hospital. I did not have the usual cards and nice dinner nor did I get the look. I did spend some quality time with my kids and spent some time playing with one of my cars.

Took the nine year old to the salvalge yard after lunch to look at a car I saw 12 years ago to see if it still survived. It was there but now has a tree fallen on it. Not much just a X44 but still has some goddies.

The real thrill of the day was when I came across a box marked RS wiper motor and found the wiper motor (605 with squirter, sticker, hoses etc!)from my convertable. I thought that it was long gone but there it was I could not belive my eyes. I even purchased one years ago thinking that this one got lost in a move. Now, I have to find the one I purchased and see what it fetches...........

So, it turned out to be a great fathers day even without cards or cake.... still thinking if the the look would have kept me from finding the wiper motor.........what we sacrafice for our cars.....:)

8 Ball

Happy Father's Day to all the TC members and to all the fathers out there :beers:

A good day indeed. Cleaned the garage somemore. LB mowed the lawn and Ricochet watered my plants. We (as well as teh out laws) went to TGI Fridays for dinner and they were closed due to a power outage as were the other restaurants in the area. We ended up at a Max and Ermas. We were told it was a 20 minute wait for 6 people. After 45 minutes, we left. We ended up at the Golden "Feedlot" Corral. First time for the kids. LB ate about 2 pounds of steak, Ricochet had all her favorites, smashed potatoes, strawberries, mac and cheese, and ice cream. All in all, a very nice day. Watched the NHRA races on digital delay.

My 18 year old wanted to spend some quality time with Dad, so he asked me to help him replace an engine mount in his '95 DeVille. I was quite surprised because when he asks for me to "help" him, it usually means "will I do it". He actually did most of the work this time with me just giving fatherly advise.

Thanks! Mine was pretty good overall. Picked up a complete drivetrain for the 51 truck project on Saturday. Codi, did you spend that money yet?

I had to move everythnig into the garage Sunday morning before going to a family get together/cook out/swimming thing. The weather could have been a little nicer Sunday, but it was still a good weekend, just wish it could have been longer!
