THeres been a lot of discussions in this forum about cutting panels and using a air powered body saw to do it. Well Harbour Freight has their's on sale for $19.99 - half price. I'm sure it's not the best saw on the market but for the throwaway price of 20 bucks I thought I'd give everyone heads up

I don't remember who it was but one of the members in another post recomended buying 24 tooth hacksaw blades and cut them to fit the saw using a tin snips.

I am a fan of HF&T as my past post will show I have spent a small fortune there. I also purchased one of these saws and it is a very light duty tool. I found the saw to be useful but it has no power to cut through body panels without getting stuck which results in bent or broken blades. Because I did find it useful I purchased a higher quality tool for $69 and it is clear that you get what you paid for. I was going to return the saw to HF&T as I am sure they wouldn't give many any hassel over it but I just never got around to it. I probably keep as a spare or use on plastic and fiberglass etc. Save yourself the trouble if you are only going to buy one than spend a little extra you be happy you did!

for blades I use reciprocating saw blades and I shape them with my air angle grinder with 36 grit rol loc disc. I will make the shank by grinding in from both edges and then I will grind the width of the blade on the front half of the blade down to half of the blade width and use this area for curved cuts and leave the back half of the blade the full width and use this for straight cuts. this really works great but the best advice has already been given spend a little extra and get a good saw cause the h.f. cheep saw wont cut the mustard.

HFT had blades when I bought my saw there last year. It works well enough. Takes a lot of air - just like all cheap air tools but other than it does the job and has come in very handy.
