I have a 12 bolt rear end with 4:88 gears. I'm going to pull off the cover and inspect the internals.
What sort of lube is recommended for a 'pozzi' 4:88 rear end. (not sure the difference between pozzi and limited slip, however, have driven and felt what a spool is all about, this definitely aint' no spool)

Anyway?

Posi and limited slip are the same thing. Posi is Eaton's brand name for their limited slip differential, which is what was installed in all of the mid '60s to early '70s Chevy muiscle cars with Positive Traction.

when yo buy your differential fluid, just make sure it is for posi units. If you wanna be safe get the gm additive. I run Kendall 80-90 with a posi unit..no problems....yet

Yea, Eaton puts that card in the box with all of their new posi units, but GM uses the Eaton in their new trucks, and all of them have synthetic oil in them. I've been using Amsoil with the new Eatons for many years with no problems.
