Thanks, and heres some news. I was informed this past week that this will be Ron's last Northampton Show he will be running because of health reasons he is stepping down. Currently no one stepped up to the plate so it might be the last forever for the Northampton Fire Dept. It is his 10th year and I'm the one that pushed him to have it, he was going to step down last year, but I told him make it 1 more year to make it 10. This year he was diagnosed with cancer and he had a heart attack, but is doing better now. Just hope for a nice sunny day and we will have a great turnout, hope to see you there.

it really is amazing what tragic events happen to people. life is just too short. Sounds like Ron is one tough guy.

We have people come from Maryland and Ohio so anyone anywhere is invited so Upstate NY is fine, it's just I only made directions coming from several directions close by. We are near Allentown, PA if you need more info just email Ron at prtildy@aol.com . Hopefully we can beat Rons record breaking year of 650+ cars for his last year, Ron's pic is in the photo gallery under 2005 show with Elvis, if you never met him. Thanks

Sounds good. I'll be there too.

Rick

I can’t make it, but it sounds terrific. It benefits the firehouse? Maybe someone associated with the FH can pick up the torch (with some help, maybe). Maybe the local chamber of commerce or other civic group can pitch in too. Just thoughts on what looks like a terrific day. And maybe carry on a man’s legacy.

Ron's actually doing better than the last time I posted he went through his treatments and he's in good spirits, he was told by his doctors that he is good for a year for his cancer checkup so he is clear for now. He told me that he's not saying till the end of the show if he will carry on or not so we will see. So that's a change in news. If not I am sure someone will take over his show if he would step down, but all your ideas are great which he does work with the chamber of commerce and the borough for help currently.

I was at the new location last night with Ron & Bill and it's a beautiful location, if the weather is nice it will be a great day out. There is plenty of room and everything is flat, compared to the other park where everything was down hill. And where DJ and Elvis will be located there is a natural amphitheatre with the trees right near the river. I will tell Ron thanks for you!

You caught me online, I guess you should be playing the lottery tonight!!, We're all set for tomorrow. Early start for us organizers. We are getting hammered with emails and phone calls so it appears like we will have a good turnout. Since we moved to this new park it just took a little longer for us to get things together today, but the move was worth it. Yeah, you could say we are a bit excited! 9AM starts registrations, see you guys there!

We really did have a good turnout. I was the one handing out trophies by the way, sorry that I didn't get to chat with many of you. I was doing triple duty which sorta showed in the end. We had some judges that were no shows and we had to go out and judge more classes which caused things to drag on a little longer than expected, but overall I think it turned out nice. I was parking GM and Vettes and I took over 100 pics, so you could say I was a bit busy and I was there since 6am. If you have pics you can gladly email them to me at TheCruiser@msn.com, I maintain the website so that's why I was taking the pics, the more we have the more I can try and squeeze on, I'm limited on space since it's a free account, but I try. I had my Regal there along with my Black 63 Impala right behind it if you walked around. So hope you all enjoyed yourselves. Ron didn't make a sendoff, but when I met up with him after the cruise at the other borough park he asked how I liked the last cruise we will ever have in Northampton. So that pretty much summed things up. Just keep tabs on the website since I will be updating it shortly with the new photos.

I just noticed your Camaro pictures site and the pics are really nice, if you were posting them up there that would be great I could also grab them from there. Thanks

Thanks, I will definitely use a few of these! I got broadband so I can download the pics no problem. I sent the link to Ron so he could see them also. The website is under construction currently so if you go there you will see some blanks, but in a day or 2 I will have the pics up. Thanks again.

Thanks guys, I'll host links to these sites on the Photo Gallery if you don't mind. 10mb of free space doesn't go very far with pics including the website itself!
