what size screw for miror to the rear view support

that is all i need to make the car street legal for a show tomrrow.

i need the screw and thread (fine or coarse) for connecting the mirror to the rear support...can anyone help?

are you talking about the rear view mirror? this is a special shoulder'd screw. i thing you can get them from chevy still oir the parts houses.

Seriously thu
A self taper that drops in without harming the threads, push a rawl plug in or 3 match sticks, then screw in the screw, with a larger washer behind the head.
Temp fix without harming anything

10x32 lucked out and grabbed the right one early this am.

Make sure you have the little 4-cornered stamped stainless bushing piece that goes in the screw hole in the mirror arm, or it won't stay tight in position. :thumbsup:
