Hello, Im new to this site and im not sure where to ask questions. My question is about a 69 camaro I know I can get for 4500 bucks; its an original 6 cylinder, still runs, automatic trans. New qaurters were hung on it somewhat halfass, rear frame rails excellent, floor pans not bad. No interior seats, dash cluster or glass; even the window regulators are not there. Would any of you pay 4500 for this or pass it by. Thanks.

The main key is the condition of the sheet metal. Since this is a 6 cyclinder, you aren't paying for the rarity.

Give the car a thorough once over and take mental note of the sheetmetal that needs replacing. Inner, outer rear and front fenders. Trunk, floorpan, firewall, roof, pillars, trunklid, etc. Don't worry about ones with a bit of surface rust that can be sanded off, just the real bad ones.

If you find that a majority of the sheetmetal just needs a good sanding, I would say yes its worth it. If you find that it basically needs replacing I would say no.

Also if you want a more accurate answer, post some pics.

My 67 RS was a 6 cylinder. I figured if it was a 6 then no one beat the snot out of it racing it. It now is getting a BB 468 and I will be the one breaking the tires loose when its all done.

People pay more than that for junk camaros on ebay. You WILL put alot of money into repairing it reguardless of what you think. Ask any one of us...everyone goes over budjet for the most part.. I know... but its worth every penny and yours will be too

Good luck
