I'm going to purchase a set of Rally Wheels for the '69 from Ground Up. I need to know which set will fit my existing tires.

Tire size: P235/60R15

Which will fit this tire?

or this

Or, if I decide to go with the Torque Thrust wheel, which size should I purchase?

I just bought a set of rally wheels this past summer.I bought the
15x7 with 4.50 back spacing.I put P 235x15x60 on the front and I put
P275x15x60 on the rear(see my signiture picture profile) This combo fits
perfect!!! No rubbing at all.
THIS IS MY STORY AND I'M STICKING TO IT....

my ralley wheels are 15x7 with 4.5 backspacing all the way around.
My opinion is @ stock ride height you need the 4.5 backspacing with this wide of a tire in the front.
The tire is very close to rubbing with 4.5 bs
235/60-15 tires are 26"dia.and the 275/60-15 are 28"dia.and about
1"wider. But it fits great, with no rubbing@ stock height.
I got my rally's at NPD
Hope this helps

I would think with the tire size your going with 235/60/15 that it would look better on the 15x7 rim. Putting it on a 15x8 might not give you the right side profile. I'm running a 255 on a 15x8 and looks pretty good. Just my opinion

Perfect, thanks...

I have 15x8 rally's on the car now (with P235/60R15 tires). If I go to a 15x7, does this mean less rubbing than what I get now (which is little to none) and would it change the hieght of the car?

Sorry, just learning about tires and rims while thinking of buying some new wheels :)

I have 2 sets of rallys, 1 sets of tires has 15x8 rims and the other has 15x7 rims and they both have p235/60R-15 tires on them. The set with the 15x7" rims the tire is 1/2"smaller (narrower) than the 15x8"rim. So that means you will get 1/4" more clearence with the 1 inch difference in rim wight.
Now remember that is with not changing the back spacing!!!
Now as far as changing the body height, this will not change.I went and I check this out for you, the two set of tires are the same in height
Hope this helps

I believe the 4.25" backspacing is the most common. I just installed a set of 15 x 7 with 4.25" backspacing from Wheel Vintiques. I used P235/60 15 Indy Firehawks and have no clearance problems. You are lucky you have the tires. P235/60 15 is a hard size to find right now - no TAs to be found.
