just wondering what trim tag group this option would be listed under, if any??

i was looking at the cover of "The Illustrated Camaro Recognition Guide" Volume 1: 1967-1969 by John Hooper and D.M. Crispino. And i noticed something on the cover.

on the Red 1967 Camaro Conv. i was looking at the rocker moldings, and noticed. it has Firebird rocker moldings below the RS lower fender door and quarter moldings.

My question, IS THIS FACTORY?????

I know what you are talking about. It is almost like a rocker rock guard under the spear. It came with a package in the Firebird line. My 69 Z11 had a set on it when I got it but it also had the 70's torpedo mirrors and pshycodelic butterflies painted on the quarter panels :) Might have been a dealer add on at most.

That almost looks like it may have come from the GM photo archives. The model you see depicted may not really be the model but a ad agency doctored car, the apply only enough to fool the camera. They were done way ahead of actual production.

I have seen one image of a 1970 Chevelle SS that is realy a doctored Malibu. Hood open and you can just make out a 6 cyl engine as well as other non-SS items.

So don't put any trust in old photo's like these. That might just be a Firebird decked out to look like a Camaro!
