I don't know your asnwer exactly, but it doesn't matter anyway. You can't swap those caps around. They are linebored, like main caps, and have to go back on where they came frome, including oriented the same.
i know they make aftermarket ones.do they have to line bore those also?how do they go about doing that,in such a confined space?do they use a special tool?thanks
The 10 bolt caps will not fit a 12 bolt. The bolt spacing is closer and the bearing bore is smaller on the 10 bolt. The after market caps must be fitted to the case. Some of them only require facing the mating surface so that the bore is round. Some require reboring the case.
