The newer LS1 as well as the LT1 are tons of fun, but I would still gladly trade either of mine, any day, for my 1st Gen ... :)

I'm watching your auction, I think it will take off in the last day or so! I'm rootin' for ya!

I know I have to be patient, but it's my first car, got it at 15, and I'm 20 now....It sucks seeing it go, but its time for me to go back to the new model stuff, I don't have time/money to do body work and welding and all of that....

I'd rather have an LS1 I can drive everyday that will still rip off 12's....not to mention t tops!!!

I hope you are still on TC in ten years. I'll be anxious to read your thread concerning what a big mistake it was to sell that 67 you once had. :) The cash you get now will be long gone, but the memory of that car will linger on and on. You ever see those threads where they ask you about cars you regret selling. Those types threads always have tons of responses. Now you will have one too. :)

My dad has a 70 camaro, and wants to sell it to get himself a 67, he wants a rs/ss though....

I won't regret this .... I'd much rather have an LS1 now and make good money later to buy whatever I want :)

I still just wait. You will be able to cash out an LS1. If it were me i would do one of two things when getting your LS1 Camaro. Buy a stripper Z28 and do mods and upgrades as you can or if you want something that might be worth something down the road get a low mileage SLP SS with all goods on it. If you can afford the insurance and a payment for the extra you will have to pay this is what I would do. If your just wanting an LS1 car then go cheap and build it. Maybe look for one of the cop car versions. I think the SLP cars are brining some money now because of the new Camaro coming out. I have seen prices stay a little higher or go up. I watch them as I would love to have a loaded 2002 Sunset SLP SS, any 98 to 02 LS1 Camaro would be fine with me. Prices are all over the place on the lesser LS1 Camaro's. Look around and choose a good one. I have seen some with mods selling cheap, I don't think those types keep the value because people think/know they have been raced and beat on.

I actually wouldn't mind a bone stock 98 Z, but I need a car with low mileage (daily driver)...like 50k or less....so depending what my car gets, then I can figure out my options...

Thanks for the advice, I would mod it, but slowly for the next couple years, then I'd be out of school and could afford a 408/400/9'' :)

Right now I'd be fine with a lid, catback, pullies, and some appearance mods....I really like the navy blue metallic, or hugger orange...and of course Sunset Orange Metallic!!!

Thanks, I'm just worried they will win and say " I'll be by next week to look at it"

I hope the winning bidder understands he WON and has to PAY...the auction isn't winning a chance to LOOK at the car....ya know?

Thanks again!

That can happen with anything. You are requiring a 10% deposit. If the buyer gets cold feet or dosen't pay, you get to keep that deposit and file a non-pay claim with eBay against the bidder.

You worry too much....wait till it's over and see how it goes...
Keep the faith "grasshopper"...

hahaha, Yea!!

Well, the car needs work, I think I stated that enough in the Ad!!

I can always go down the list of high bidders if the first one backs out!!

Thanks!
