The tag is fake, period. So who knows what color combo it originally was. No Houndtooth in convertibles. Thats not the only reason why the tag is fake. I will not divulge why it is. There have been more than a few Van Nuys fake tags showing up lately. They are easy to spot.

Although, for some reason, some of you wont take my word for it anyways.

I guess until you actually do a restoration of this caliber you don't realize the
money it costs in parts and the countless hours it takes to do.
This is a beautiful car any way you look at it. If you don't like the interior or the fact that the builder buys briggs and stratton parts on ebay for his kid's
go cart, then don't by the car.

You are completely missing the point. Like Jeff said this guy isn't telling the truth about the car, that is the point. It doesn't matter how nice the car is. He's not listing it as a nice car he's listing it as L78 vert big differance. The guy can spend a hundred K restoring a clone but he needs to sell it as that. The fact is this guy is dancing around the so called matching numbers statement. Also notice that he left the buyer good feedback on the car a few days ago and the buyer has yet to return the favor.
