Can anyone tell me if OER still have poor fit? Are they the only suppliers for the pillar trim? Are there any other sources for these other than OER? Also, is there anyone who may be restoring originals? Mine were good till I had the car painted. The bodyman removed the trims and bent the pass. side. I think it would straighten out when installed but the vinyl is creased??? Thanks for any feedback on this topic! Great website!!

I have not used the pillar post moldings for several years, nor have we sold any until we know the quality is right. Looking forward to some feedback on this as well. IMO, I'd look for GM versions on Ebay if you are unsure. The last ones I used were for my 67RS 3 years ago,and they were pretty bad in terms of fit at the front.

I just put a pair of the OER brand on my 68 , the fit was very bad and different from side to side , I would not recommend them based on my experience . I wonder if a place like Just Dashes restores them . I didn't look into it because it's not in the budget now , when I can have my dash pad redone I'd like to see if they do the pillar posts and arm rest pads .

i agree the oer ones are unaceptable. i asked them if any one there had actually tried to put the on a car and of course the answer was yes they fit great. what a load of bull! i bought some nice used ones from a camaro salvage yard in michigan.

i added them as well and they dont fit. they wont tuck all the way down to the windshield. wasted money

the way just dashes works is: you send in the parts to be redone; they evaluate and contact you with a yes or no as to whether or not they can be re-done and then they quote you your price. i hesitate to quote what i paid because you do not know the condition mine were in when sent and there are folks out there that will argue that any price stated is incorrect. you can get a ball park price from a customer service rep at just dashes.

I have a pair of original '69 posts, black. They were sold on e-Bay as '68's but they have the center post mounting screw. I will sell them for what I paid for them if anyone is interested. One is blemish free and one has a very small crack in the vinyl. I'll send pix etc if anyone needs them.

I have '68 OER's installed and they are poor fit, appearance but all I have been able to find.

If the original ones you have are not really messed up, you might be able to fix them. I had two originals and one had a huge wrinkle in it, I hit it with a heat gun and it smoothed right out, you just kind of have to slowly heat it and smooth it with your fingers. It may be worth a try, because the repros do look like crap.

OH GREAT A PLACE TO VENT, sorry bad subject with me, my repops were junk. they did not match each other & they had no backing where screws mount in & the holes tore wide open. stay away, redo your old ones if you can, my two had some cracks, but my local man did a good number on them & they look good.
