hey guys today I found two camaros in a field one is a 69 a good restoriable car but the trim tag has been robbed i can see it is a base car but no tag is there any thing i can do.how bad is this going to hurt the car. i can get the car for 300.00 dollars the car is fixable.i also found at the same place a 68 hull which i can also get for 300.00 and a 69 firebird for 200.00 i can get the sub frame out of for the 68. any advise. on the trim tag. thanks Greg

on 68 and 69 there vin number is in dash on drivers side.if that number matches the title you are good to rebuild car. for the tag missing if you going to rebuild car to factory options and color and such than that is going to hurt car.no cowl tag put what ever motor tranny color interior you want. it is your car design it what you like.

They are well worth the money. As long as you have the VINs you can register. The value is not hurt that much unless you are trying to sell them as a SS, Z-28 or Pace Car. Otherwise the vin proves whether it is a V-8 or 6cyl--nothing else really matters

There are some pretty savy guys on this site that can tell you what to look for on that car that might give away its options and could help point to what the car was...you know kind of a reverse look-up,like a phone #. I saw one post about the tailpipe bracket on a 67 or 68 being on the drivers side vs pass.side is a give-away for an SS or something like that, but it was pretty low key info like this that might help.I'm not a camaro purest like some of these guys so i dont know about a 69 at all and dont know the small details like this but I'm sure there are guys that do
