Thats how you sell a car right there....(Invest in a good camera)

Looks really sweet...It will sell fast!

Dan

Hmmm...taken from another car site. Thanks to Rat Pack.

Here is the ORIGINAL tag that went on the car...

Image

Which makes it a base model Camaro with a 327 with a powerglide, center console, tinted windshield, exterior style trim group, black standard interior, and Capri Cream exterior w/black vinyl top.

And here is the new one...The reproduction trim tag makes it an RS/SS 396, 4-spd, center console, tinted windshield, bumper guards, black standard interior, and Tuxedo Black exterior w/black vinyl top

Seller has been emailed...so we'll see:sad:

I was just commenting on how nicely set up that auction is....and how nice those pics are...It will indeed probably sell in It's first go around to some unsuspecting buyer.

That is by far the worst repro tag I have seen....Ray Charles could spot that one....

I emailed the seller asking for pics of the engine stamps...will see what he says..

These crooks have got to be stopped somehow.....I can't believe that this crap is still legal....I also love how "Trim Tags" claim that they do not change major codes....

"Note: We don't have a problem changing paint codes, trim codes, convertible/vinyl top color codes, or option codes. We will not change "STYLE" numbers (i.e. convert Tempests into GTO's, Cutlass' into 442's, six cylinder cars into eight cylinder cars)"
What a bunch of BS....They should demand proof or be held accountable (along with the seller)

since 69's are my cars of choice,I dont know much about 67's.but if this is a numbers matching 396 4spd car as claimed,is that 10 bolt rear correct.or should it have a 12 bolt.
I think you're missing the point. It started as a 327 car and has been 'converted' to a 396. Hence it isn't a #'s matching car. It still probably has the original rear......

he doesn't say its a "numbers matching" car.

he says "Vehicle Up For Auction:

1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS SS 396ci Big Block 4-Speed Triple Black Numbmers Matching!!!"

i guess if you don't spell it right its not really lying.

They can spell. Even crooks went to school:mad:

I emailed seller asking about the fake trim tag, his response was that he bought it that way! I wrote back saying that's not the point, it should be represented as a fake tag car, which calls into question all the options (especially when the real tag exists, as seen in this thread). He hasn't responded to his or changed his ad description.

Mark-- seller does state this is a #s matching car, at one point he writes, "So you can see from these numbers that this is a VERY rare and VERY authentic Numbers Matching car".
