On my Procharged BBC, I am currently running no PCV, and running both valve covers into the crankcase evac system plumbed into the headers. I have a small amount of oil leaking at the breathers, mainly on the drivers side. Both holes are in the rear of the valve covers, I am running the Moroso tig welded ones, if I recall they are not baffled. What can I do to try to stop the seepage. I do not have a place to run the PCV, unless I "T" off of the back of the carb where I am running my gauge, MSD 6BTM and alcohol injection......

Any ideas or thoughts for me?

Hey Dave ,try them they should work,I ran the EVAC for yes on my Drag motors ,cource my valve covers had baffs. in them ,good luck and Happy Motoring

Hey Dave, any luck on these? Did you get them installed?

I run an evac system on my street car. I know people say it wont work on a street car with full exhaust, but it works on mine. It works so good that it sucked oil out of the motor and into my headers and mufflers. on short trips I didn't notice the problem, but after a 40 min. trip to a show tacking around 3000 rpm for a good part of the run I noticed my car smoking pretty bad. Thought I hurt the motor. Upon furthur inspection I found the oil in my headers and mufflers. I didn't have baffles in my valve covers, but was using Moroso baffled gromets. I recently bought the breather fittings that you are asking about and with all of the holes they have in them it was no better than what I had.
What I ended up doing is cutting out a flat square piece of 1/8" aluminum just big enough to fit in the valve cover, then drilled a hole in the center of the breather fitting and using a stainless 10/32 screw and nyloc nut, bolted the aluminum piece to it. I then bent 2 of the sides up to almost tuch the top of the valve cover. After still noticing some oil being sucked out I decided to block off some of the holes in the breather fitting. Time will tell if this helped or not. Just so you know the way I monitor the oil being sucked out is on a low spot of the hoses going down to the headers I put a clear plastic "T" fitting and put a small (1") piece of clear hose on the open end and plugged it.
So if you are going to use these breather fittings with an evac system you may have oil being sucked out.
I have tried different things over the years and am determined to make it work.
Any questions, ask me.

This morning I noticed I have some oil coming out my exhaust on the passenger side tailpipe. I was thinking it was the worst, but I might have to check this out 1st... I have the breather but no baffle right now, just the grommet.... I was going to get the Moroso baffle grommet today from Tognotti's down the street and see what happens... My car was smoking only @ idle, or stopped, once I was driving I could not see a cloud or puff.....

So Lou do you still have those baffles discussed above our are you running something different now, like the moroso baffle grommet with your homemade shield?

Brad I have received them but just don't have the time to put on and test drive.

Thanks, I am thinking I might want to get these myself soon and maybe even do that homemade baffle as well.....

On the way home I stopped by Tognotti's and bought the Moroso baffle grommets for the breathers and will see how they are tonight....

At startup and @ idle there was a little smoke in the beginning, changed to the baffle grommet and left the breather unplugged and no smoke...... Plugged breathers in no smoke... But this was only at idle and slight throttle in neutral... Will see this weekend when I go around the block if it does it again....

Let us know how you make out. You might want to take your exhaust off and try to wash out the oil that is already in there. The oil will take a long time to burn it self out. I know that after mine got oil in it I went to change my exhaust set-up and I couldn't believe how much oil was in the mufflers. I had the exhaust out the side w/4" pipe and since changed it and went all the way out the back now 3" in muffler and 3.5" after muffler. I know overkill but it is a pro street car so it has to sound tuff, even if its not that quick.
