Being a member of society means you have a responsibility to be a good neighbor. This cuts both ways. On a cell phone you have a responsibility to not be rude to those around you...using a jammer is the same thing IMO. You also have a responsibility to have a modicum of tolerance. When behavior is outside the norms, you have a responsibility to address that behavior with the person directly.
I am bothered by people who think that their rights/needs/feelings are more important than others...using a jammer to cut off conversations is just as bad as talking loud on a cell phone. Have a little tolerance. I'm not talking about movie theaters or concerts necessarily, but the use by individual citizens to "enforce" their own no cell phone rule in a 40' radius around themselves. I read some discussion pages on the FYI link several post up...unbelievable how intolerant people are.
I very rarely call my wife on her cell phone and she rarely uses it, it chaps my rear to think that people are walking around with these jammers in their pocket because when they hear her calling to tell me that the car won't start and I need to pick up my son at school it is sooooo annoying that they need to secretly squelch her. Guess what, you can't find a payphone anymore, cellphones are becoming a "requirement"...
People have become such mice...the concept of resolving issues by talking to each other has been completely removed from our social toolkits...
