Oh my. I found a wrench laying my engine.

I removed my intake to try and chase the problem of antifreeze getting into my cylinders and am stunned at what I found.

I would like to blame someone else...but...I replaced the heads and intake in June. I was in a hurry to make the Camaro Nationals and I put it back together like this. 1,000 miles later I find my lost wrench. No need to be kind, this was a stupid stupid stupid thing to do....

Ok, you're right those are slip joint pliers not a wrench... :D

I dropped a pan laying under the car and my watch slipped off my wrist without my noticing. Buttoned it up and never did find that watch. Anyone ever pull apart a 327 and find a watch, it's mine... :clonk:

Stuff happens!!

The black stuff is what is left of the rubber coating that was on the plier handles. It is now falling off and cracked...you can see a piece of it lying next to the right plier handle...

thats almost as bad as some old man who had surgery and was having problems later down the road.. dont know how long months yrs cant recall.. got an xray and he had hemostats still in his chest or abdomin

Can't be that, looks like stock rockers to me. Brent I would take a close look at those back push rods and check them for unusual wear patterns, now is the time to change them if their worn.

My have my deepest respect for having the gonads to not only tell us, but to post a pic. :beers:

I think there's a saying that goes, "Let he who hath not left pliers under his intake manifold (or something else stupid) while working on thy car, cast the first stone". Or something like that :)
