Anyone know what the base price for a Jan built 69 six cyl Camaro was?

Thanks William, where did this info come from? and did the price change as it did for the V8's around the 68/69 year change? I think I read somewhere V8 base price changed from 2726 to 2727, is this correct?

The intro price for a 6 cyl ht was $2621, 8 cylinder ht $2726. As of 1/69 the prices went up but only $1 for the 8 cly ht. The increase was applied to cars ordered after 1/1/69.

I have some Chevrolet dealer documentation with pricing.

So to set it straight is it $2638 or $2621? and what's "the white book"?

One price was before 1/1/69, one price was after 1/1/69.
I'll add that it was for cars shipped after that date (as opposed to ordered after that date).

OK, so for a L6 car built and delivered after 1/1/69 the base price was $2638. Is this correct?

Nope. I have shipper copies for cars built later than Jan 1 and they show the old price.

Hmm, most of the time a price change was implemented on a certain date at the plant. They changed the file in the computer and it then showed up on the docs.
Another thing to look at ---- when I get a chance......

The 2 January 1969 ordering info shows the following base prices: 6 cyl coupe $2638, 6 cyl convert $2852, 8 cyl coupe $2727, 8 cylinder convert $2941.

I spoke too soon-shouldn't do this at work anyway.

The last 6 cylinder at the old price is N569621 12D build. The next 6 cyl is N571751 at the new price, 01D. Really strange is N570985 an 8 cyl coupe with a base price of $2743.

Cars shipped after 1 Jan 1969 were at the new base price.
