Does anyone have pictures showing the Remote Mirror (exterior on Door) on the Inside of the door panel for a 1967 Camaro?? I would like to see how good/bad it looks on the interior.
Any advice or tips on installing one. I have never seen a car with one, but mine has the code on the cowl.

Thanks in advance.

Good ques Dale... have seen pics of the inside and it looks pretty good. Application to the outside I think could be tricky, as to where to position?

I've got a couple of '68 remotes that I'm trying to decide to put on, but not sure of how that cable is set in where the window is... like yourself... ?

In the past I noticed that there was no gasket available for the remote mirror...were you able to obtain one, or had one from before?

Sorry I could not be of more help...guess we have to wait for some one who has done this.

I have a 67 vert with the code but no remote control mirror (4F). The PO changed the mirrors but the interior door panels are original with no hole for the control knob. I do have a mirror on the passenger side. Could the code relate to the mirror on the passenger side or was that a dealer option? I apoligize for tagging on to your post Dale.

The hole for the mirror control is actually on the door shell, not the door panel. Mine is disassembled right not----haven't even put the new skin on the door yet. But I can slide the control in place and take a shot of it for you. I'll try to post tonight if my D--- internet service gets corrected today.

A new gasket does come with the new mirror that I bought.
It includes mounting screws and the retainer also.
All my nuts, bolts, screws, etc. are correct on my car, but i don't know what correct is for the mirror. Hopefully someone is VERY knowledgeaboe on this item.

It did not come with a passenger mirror. Someone added that. My door is the original and has the factory drilling, but NO indication for someone not familiar with the mirror, where it goes on the INSIDE. Good luck. I wish there was a 67 camaro club, ONLY 1967. I am very familiar with the 67 Coupe, just NOT the mirror.

That would be great, I am excited. My car is almost done. Is Sierra Fawn with a lot of rare options. Just needs the front seat, door panels, front glass molding and Brakes. Got it back from Paint Shop January 3rd.

Wayne,
Thanks!
That was a big help.
After seeing your picture, I thought that I must not have the original door since mine did not have the original hole on the inside. But, when I reached up in this location I could feel what I am pretty sure is the patchwork for it. But, it still creates for me the problem of needing a Template for this inside hole.

Does anyone know where you can get a Template for the REMOTE Mirror on the Inside???

I need to confirm that mines does have the original. But I am pretty sure I do. If so, I could make a template for the exterior. Here is a picture of the Exterior.

This web sight would not let me send a picture with this text.
It said the following.

Please enter the URL of your Image.
http://

I know how to send a picture the normal way on every other web site or e-mail, but have NO IDEA what this means on this web page. Obviously not normal here???

it appears that their is a chance that even though the cowl does have the remote mirror option, that their were cars made that they DID NOT ACTUALLY CUT THE HOLE AND INSTALL THE MIRROR. Anyone have any info on this ??????

Wayne,

Your pictures were great. If you need a template for the outside of the door, my door has the original factory cut and I would be happy to make you a template. Contact me sometime if you get a chance. I would like to get a template from you on the inside. Can you tell if yours is a factory cut or not??
