I am replacing the old motors with this style upgrade: Ecklers Headlight Door Motors,Rally Sport (RS),1967 while I am at it I got a new relay board, bushings, new limit switches, and new arm that connects to the motor.

Everything was going well cleaning up mine and disassembling and reassembling. I just pulled the plate off that holds the motor to the headlight assembly and tried to install the new upgraded motor/plate and the holes just don't line up. I put in the pivot bolt first and when I try to get the other holes to line up the cast motor body portion pushes on the headlight adjuster spring and will not allow the holes to line up. I'm sure its something simple but any idea what am I missing here!?

I went through this a couple of years ago. I can’t recall the details but the instructions that came with the new motors explained what needed to be done.

Just in case this happens to anyone else, it is a defective bracket. Tried the other side and it lined up no problem. Heartbeat City is sending me a replacement.

Scratch that, not defective, Heartbeat sent me another and it didn't fit so I assumed the bracket was bent so I bought an new headlight housing: C693 - 1967 Camaro Rally Sport; Headlight Housing; LH Drivers Side

Got it yesterday, pulled the plate off and tried to install the motor and same issue, maybe even worse. So I have a brand new 67 RS LH motor & bracket, 67 RS LH headlight housing... What am I missing? Oddly enough for people that could use the information- the OER headlight housing doesn't fit screws for the limit switch housing either, the welded hole and threads are too large for the factory screws I pulled off of my original headlight housings.

Saw this but figured it pertained to the radiator support. The motor box is hitting against the headlight tensioner spring, is this what they are referring to? If so, any idea what they mean by this
