I'm going to remove the 350 engine this weekend on my 67 Camaro. I don't, however, have any interest in pulling out the transmission with it. I'd prefer to leave the transmission in place and just pull the engine by itself ... and later replace the engine and mate it back to the transmission.
I can't seem to find any good how-tos and videos on what I want to do. Everything seems geared toward removing the entire engine + transmission assembly or various tips and tricks on how to remove the transmission entirely. That's the opposite of what I want ... I want to leave the transmission alone.
Does anyone have any advice on how to disconnect the transmission from the engine so that I can remove only the engine from the car?
Thanks.
