That was their Flagship test and tune promotional car.I have pictures of that cars Deluxe Black interior and it ended up with ? from NY city.Is it hidden away somewhere,who knows.Would love to know if it was.That car had the 12 to 1 L88 motor in it.That car is at the TOP of food chain when it comes to the Most Desireable Motion Car to find and own.

 

I have that picture saved also. Awesome photo. Wonder what other motorist were saying when they heard that launch.

I remember someone saying the photo was faked before. Something to do with the cars in the background and distortion of the glass. Looks real to me!

 

IIRC, that photo along with others and a story appeared in HMM or MCR awhile back.

I do have a question , I have owned hotrod car's for 25 years now and had a couple than ran good but want to know just HOW MUCH HORSEPOWER DID IT TAKE TO PULL THE WHEELS LIKE IN THE PHOTO ?

 

I bet a gear of 488's or 513's with Slicks played into the launch with the front wheels a couple inches off the ground.Was it open headers,can't tell.
