Wow, What an impressive 68 Motion Camaro.

When torque is applied, the snubber hits the spring eye and lifts the body - no rub.
IF I were to buy it, I'd put some 10.5's (width) on it, but this would be dependent upon the wheel width.
I had 10.5's on my stock suspension and they were okay - no rub.

As far as normal driving, you live with it.

the 1967 style traction bars Motion used didn't have a snubber
I have a set of those and they make the car ride hard

They used a spring clamp on the front that clamped on the spring

Motion also used a heavy duty shock called Cure Rides

there probably was not much travel in the rear suspension

As I learned....higher HP/TQ cars don't squat on launch, the rear lifts (tire to body gap)....In a straight line I doubt there was an issue, but on the street with lefts and rights.....may be a lil' rub.

If you watch close (no slow-mo) you'll see.

And a slow-mo....

In that last article you posted Joe, they call it a "Super-Bite suspension with traction bars and shocks". Back then it looked like maybe an inch between the tire and fender lip (quarter), now it looks to have bigger meats and ready to burn those moldings right off there.:)

Thanks

Sometime when you get a chance E, some pics of your old "war horse" would be much appreciated...

One of the reasons the Motion cars were very good drag cars is because Motion would set the Camaros up like his record holding house drag Camaro that he ran in M/P in 67 and 68 and other years

So if you wanted to pay up , you can get a 10sec M/P drag car for the street
not bad for 1967-68

here is his 67 and 68 house drag cars
